Detailed Overview

This entry-level model by BH Fitness is part of the Signature Series of front-drive elliptical trainers, with consoles powered by iConcept Technology. This model retails for $1199 and comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame, two years on parts and one year coverage on labor.

The S1Xi is designed with a 13 pound flywheel and weight max of 300 pounds. Users can choose from 24 levels of resistance, and the stride is fixed at 20 inches. On this model, there are several comfort features like EVA padded foot pedals and cushioned multi-grip handlebars.

Coming to the console, users can choose from an impressive 26 built-in workout programs via the 6.5” blue backlit LCD display screen that is also Bluetooth enabled and powered by BH Fitness’ very own iConcept Technology. This means that users can seamlessly connect Apple or Android devices to access all of their favorite apps and programming, but users can also download the free BH Fitness app which offers even more workout programs and advanced fitness tracking options. This console is also equipped for wireless heart rate monitoring, with the wireless receiver included (users can also use the contact grips to track heart rate).

Our Favorite Features

  • Bluetooth enabled console, powered by iConcept technology
  • 26 built-in workout programs
  • Cushioned multi-grip handlebars
  • Both contact grips and wireless receiver included for hands-free heart rate monitoring

Our Least Favorite Features

  • Limited Warranty on parts and labor (considering the price of the trainer)
  • Non-adjustable stride
  • Low flywheel weight of 13 pounds
  • Low weight capacity at just 300 pounds max

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is that you won’t find too many flashy features on this basic front-drive elliptical trainer by BH Fitness, but you will find a well-made machine that is from a brand known for their long-lasting elliptical trainers and innovative iConcept designed consoles. The price isn’t too bad so it’s also relatively affordable, but there aren’t any adjustable features, making it difficult for multiple people to comfortably enjoy the same machine.
