Cybex 625A Lower Body Arc Trainer Detailed Overview

Editor’s Summary: “The Cybex 625A is a lower body Arc Trainer for commercial use. It can be used for gliding, striding and climbing with low impact but rapid calorie burn. A choice of 21 incline levels and diverse preset programs help meet the needs of beginners through top athletes.”

The Cybex 625A is a lower body arc trainer for use in clubs and home gyms. This popular alternative to elliptical trainers outperforms the competition in terms of power, durability and its ability to torch calories. It’s also even gentler on joints. This three-in-one fitness machine lets trainees tone their legs and glutes while using an arc-shaped glide, stride or climb. The 625A has a wide range of challenge levels to meet the needs of beginners through top-level crosstrainers. Additionally, special technology adjusts the machine to the user’s weight for customized resistance.

Cybex Arc Trainers use a crescent-shaped path instead of an elliptical path. The arc motion on the 625A recruits the glutes and hamstrings to a greater degree than an elliptical can, which makes it more effective for lower-body training. This machine also features reverse motion to help people develop incredible tone in the quadriceps and glutes.

To help trainees focus on different muscle groups, the 625A has 21 incline choices and a wide range of resistance. Cybex describes its three exercise zones as Glide, Stride and Climb. “Glide” is at the lowest incline levels and “Climb” is at the highest. Preset workouts include quick start, weight loss (3), cardio (3), strength (2) and heart rate control. Additional workouts and high-def video entertainment are available with an optional monitor and the Cybex GO digital platform.

The Cybex 625A arrives with a 7” x 15” LED workout display. The two data windows show time, distance, calories burned, calories per hour, METs, watts, strides per minute, pulse, incline and resistance level. There’s also a multi-color heart rate indicator. Also available is a premium 15.6” monitor with three viewing modes: Exercise, Entertainment and Escape.

Cybex Arc Trainers are available in virtually any color to complement your workout space. The console for the 625A Lower Body Arc Trainer has a magazine rack, a water bottle holder and two utility trays.

Cybex Arc Trainers are made in the USA with excellent quality control. In commercial settings the 625A has a 10-year frame warranty, a three year parts warranty and a one year labor warranty.  Warranties for use in residential and light commercial settings are also available.
