Pros The Octane LX8000 is short for “Lateral X”, which combines the typical vertical motion of elliptical fitness with a unique side-by-side motion that brings new muscle definement. You will yield some incredible upper-body results from the LX8000, along with having the fun challenge of Octane’s signature workout boosters. The LateralX design is an all-around win for those who are ready to get truly serious about home fitness.
Cons Like many of the other Octane models, the LX8000 carries two different console options. There is a significant difference in feature capability, as well as a huge price jump. Despite this being a commercial-grade elliptical, it still comes with a standard home warranty, which is a bit disappointing.
Summary The LX8000 is truly one-of-a-kind with the option to move in multiple directions. You will really enjoy the various muscle toning and strength endurance that comes from not only standard up and down motion, but also back, forth and side to side. Best of all, unlike many commercial-grade machines, this one is fairly compact, making it ideal for home use in smaller personal gyms.

Octane LX8000 Elliptical Detailed Overview

The LX8000 stands apart from the crowd due to its lateral motion. This side-to-side exercising increases your caloric burn and also engages more muscles in the lower region of the body than ever before. You will notice an increase in hip activity and overall strength build. The stepping motion is also still effective with this unit, as you build endurance and reap the rewards of a standard elliptical machine with the added boost of directional change whenever you want it.
