QUICK REVIEW

Pros The console and advanced entertainment options are the shining star on this trainer. With a 7 inch full-color touchscreen display, a wireless heart rate monitoring system, and iFit capability, users have multiple ways to set workout goals and track them.
Cons
Summary The 935 CSE offers the same adjustable features as the 735, but includes a much more advanced console and more attractive display with a full-color touchscreen display and multiple ways to challenge yourself and track workouts. For the price point of $999, you would expect a flywheel weight somewhere around 20 pounds or more, with a weight capacity closer to 400 pounds, but this model has the same 18 pound flywheel as the less expensive model.

Detailed Overview

The Space Saver 935 CSE is the elite trainer in the Pro-Form SpaceSpaver compact rear drive series, offered for $999. The console is perhaps the most attractive feature of this trainer, which comes with a 7 inch full-color touchscreen display with Android web browser and iFit capability. The iFit program is an advanced way for users to choose from hundreds of workouts designed by celebrity trainers like Jillian Michaels, to keep you motivated and working toward your personal fitness goals. You have to purchase the module and subscription separately, but the program is a great addition to your trainer. In addition, users can choose from 30 pre-set workout programs, access 24 digital levels of resistance, and enjoy hands-free heart rate monitoring with the Polar ® wireless heart rate monitoring system (there are also EKG sensors in the handle-bars for more traditional heart rate monitoring).  When it comes to customizable features, users can adjust the oversized pedals, that are fit with traction control, or the incline, with power adjustable incline up to 10 degrees. The length of the stride is not specified by Pro-Form. Just like other trainers in the series by Pro-Form, the 935 CSE is built with a durable, commercial-grade steel frame and Silent Magnetic Resistance (SMR) technology. The warranty for this trainer is lifetime for the frame, three years for parts and one year for labor.

The Bottom Line

The Pro-Form Smart Strider 935 CSE and the mid-level version, the 735, are essentially the same trainer with very few differences between the two, except for the price difference of a couple hundred dollars. If you are not concerned with advanced entertainment features or wireless heart rate monitoring included, the 735 offers the same adjustable features and drive system, which would save you $200. However, if you are looking for a more advanced, attractive, console, the 935 CSE does not disappoint.
