Pros Versatility and comfort and two words to describe the Pro 16.9. From multiple adjustable features like adjustable oversized cushioned pedals and an adjustable incline ramp of 0 to 20 degrees, to luxurious options like multi-positional upper body grips and a large 10” touchscreen display, this is an elliptical trainer that is fully loaded with user-focused features. On top of that, it's also very sturdy with a heavy 32 pound flywheel and a commercial-grade steel frame.
Cons This model is fairly expensive so that's something to keep in mind. It's not the most budget-friendly option, but it is their “top of the line” model in their front-drive series. Some other cons to consider would be that you must have a subscription to iFit to be able to use the iFit program, and there is no USB charger or storage space on the console area. It's also a front-drive model which is not preferred by everyone since you do tend to lean forward a bit more than on a rear-drive model.
Summary You can tell that ProForm really took some extra time in rethinking the overall user experience with the Pro 16.9. They have included many adjustable features as well as a high-tech console that is convenient and easy to use. There are few “bad” things to say about this model other than the price and some console options that are missing, so overall it's an excellent choice for almost anyone.

ProForm Pro 16.9 Trainer Elliptical Detailed Overview

The Pro 16.9 is the top of the line trainer in the front-drive Pro Series by ProForm. This model blends performance and technology with one of the heaviest flywheel weights ProForm offers, and some of the best technology too. It’s a fairly compact model with a smaller footprint of 80.3 x 25.7 x 64.4, and features greater mobility with transport wheels as well as greater stability with oversized levers.

A 32-pound effective-inertia flywheel powers this model that withstands user weights of up to 375 pounds. There is a 20″ power adjustable stride, an adjustable incline ramp that offers a range of 0 to 20 degrees, and 26 digital resistance levels to choose from. The commercial-grade steel construction of the frame makes the Pro 16.9 very sturdy and reliable, and the adjustable oversized cushioned pedals and multi-grip upper body grips make it very comfortable and easy to use. The Pro 16.9 is also designed with Silent Magnetic Technology (SMT) which means that you won’t hear a lot of friction, squeaking and noise from the machine when in use. Overall, the design of this machine is very ergonomically-sound despite the fact that it is a front-drive machine (a front-drive elliptical trainer can force you to lean forward a little more than a rear-drive).

The iFit enabled console features a 10-inch full color capacitive touchscreen display that is also equipped with 35 built-in workout programs (heart rate, intervals, etc.), an iPod compatible Intermix Acoustics Sound System, and an EKG grip pulse with wireless chest strap. In addition, the console provides a water bottle holder, CoolAire(TM) workout fan with two speed settings, and an integrated tablet holder.

ProForm offers a warranty that covers the lifetime of this frame, 6 years on parts and 3 years on labor.
